Washington Property Company makes a request for a larger building

On July 3rd, 2008 Washington Property Company will stand before the Montgomery County Planning Board to request an increase in the number of residential units and retail space as part of a 200’foot apartment building in downtown Silver Spring.

Washington Property Company is known for commercial office investments, 1050 Ripley Street would be the full service real estate company’s first residential project.

Specifications include an increase of residential units from 305 to 318 and for the ground floor retail component to increase in space from 3,068 to 7,460 square feet.

Washington Property Co has also upgraded the entire design with higher quality architecture to stay competitive.

The high-rise apartment building will share an improved Ripley street with another planned residential apartment complex directly across from it.

As first reported on Index Metro, Home properties recently purchased the Midtown Silver Spring project from Kettler and plans to move forward with the 317 unit, twin towers.
